The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) participated in the 8th Edition of the Ivorian Crafts and Creativity Fair (SIACA 2025), held from 19th to 29th December 2025 at the Palais de la Culture Bernard Binlin-Dadié in Treichville, Abidjan. The fair, organised as part of Côte d’Ivoire’s end-of-year festivities, is a flagship platform for arts, business, and cultural exchange in the country’s economic capital.
In recognition of its strong reputation for promoting Ghanaian creativity and traditional craftsmanship, GEPA was selected as the Special Guest of Honour for SIACA 2025. The event was held under the theme “African Crafts and the Search for Promising Markets,” underscoring the growing importance of artisanal products in regional and international trade.
The Ghanaian delegation was led by Mr. David Apetsi, Deputy Director of GEPA, and comprised other GEPA officials alongside thirty-three (33) Ghanaian exhibitors. The exhibitors showcased a diverse range of Ghana-made products, including textiles, apparel, footwear, beaded jewellery, shea butter products, and other arts and crafts.
On 23rd December 2025, Ghana’s Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. Brigadier General Abu Alhassan, accompanied by Embassy officials, visited the Ghanaian pavilion to support the exhibitors and celebrate Ghana Day at the Fair. The visit featured cultural performances and the presentation of Ghanaian cuisine. The Head of Mission commended the exhibitors for their impressive display and noted the initiative’s alignment with Ghana’s Reset Agenda and the country’s cultural and economic diplomacy objectives. Exhibitors reported strong sales, with several selling out their products, highlighting the success of Ghana’s participation.
