8 December 2025 — His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama joined fellow African leaders, senior government officials, and international dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony of the President-Elect of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, held at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan.

President Mahama’s attendance underscores Ghana’s strong commitment to good neighbourliness and regional solidarity, democratic governance, and peaceful political transitions in West Africa. The ceremony also provided an important platform for diplomatic engagement, enabling leaders to reaffirm shared values and deliberate on common regional priorities, including economic integration, security cooperation, and sustainable development within the AU and ECOWAS framework.
